What does “bail exoneration” mean?

What does "bail exoneration" mean?

Bail exoneration
Bail exoneration means that the legal process or trial is completed, irrespective of whether the defendant has been found guilty or innocent or the case has been dismissed. After the defendant’s case is over, the liability for the bond amount is discharged. However, any unpaid premium or fees or charges incurred by the bail agency on the defendant’s behalf are still owed to that agency.
